I have been using AA3 for a few years now and have learned a lot of the short cuts and ins-and-outs of this program - however, it takes FOREVER to load a new midi track into a session.
Admittedly, I have a lot of VSTI's (a couple of drum programs, a few guitar amp sims and a few soft synths), but it is ridiculous how long it takes.... let alone when I'm trying to load a previously-saved session with one or more midi tracks in the session. It literally takes 5-10 minutes just to open the session.
Has this been fixed with CS6 ?
Am I able to choose what VSTi's I want to add instead of having to load everything from my VSTi library into each midi track ?
Laslty - what about Melodyne - can I run that as a VSTi without locking the program ?
Thanks for any help !
MIDI has been fixed completely in Audition CS6. It has no faults at all, because... it's gone away, hopefully to never return. No, I am not joking - it wasn't in CS5.5 either.
A search through the forums will reveal a lot of conversation about this - I'm not rehashing it all again here.
Yup - Sonar, Reaper, Logic, Cubase, ProTools, you name it - they're all good for it. And they're all really crap as editors too. There's absolutely no point in Audition competing with them, so it doesn't.
