Hi

 

Flash Professional CS5.5

 

Is it possible to make sound default to stream instead of event in the sync sound panel?

    I do not believe this is an option, I've never come across it in preferences. I don't even think it has any advanced way to edit it either (settings files, etc). I think it's a 'dumb' panel that loads fairly uncontextually.

    in the frame that has the sound in the timeline, look at the frame properties, there shoudl be a section under properties called sound with options for Name, Effect & Sync, I'm almost positive you can change what you are looking to in that menu

    I can't find any options for doing what I wanted following your advice

    Hi ,

     

    Just check this screenshot :

    You can set the Sync to Event or Stream from here. Select the frame which has the sound file when dragged to the stage and go to the properties tab to change the Sync type.

    Thanks for your help.....

     

    What I want to know is.....

    Is it possible to make sound default to stream instead of event in the sync sound panel?

    I dont want to have to change it to stream every time I use a sound file I just want it to stay on stream instead of having to check the stream box every time.

    Sorry, but I do agree Stream is a lot more useful than Event. I've found myself always setting it to Stream after saying "Why do I still hear audio?!?". Wish it was a preference.
