Just testing my new copy and I can not get the Find function to work in CS6.
I have purged cache in preferences with no change.
When I am in the folder, can see the keyword, choose Tools/cache/purge cache for xxx folder. Thumbs rebuild, Find still does not find anything.
I have also checked "include non-indexed files" and it does not appear to index anything. With CS5 you see it say "indexing xxx folder" in lower left corner. With CS6 it just says Done.
Could someone else with CS6 test the Find?
Win 7 OS.

Curt,
I have had Bridge CS6 installed on my MacBook for only a few days. I hadn't chimed in because I'm on a Mac and because the fact that Bridge works on my laptop is hardly an indication of anything as I have but one folder with about 15-20 image files.
I've ordered new RAM to max the laptop out, and when that gets here I'll hook up one of of my FireWire drives with a gazillion images and report back.
Omke might comment when it's morning in The Netherlands. ![]()
Find or Search whichever you call it.
As I rarely use Find (have Canto Cumulus for DAM and search as you well know by now) I can't get it to work properly.
The quick search field top right in Bridge window seems hard coded to only File name and Keywords as options
However having a keyword in the folder and adding this in the quick search it comes up with the correct result.
I changed the actual File window (menu Edit / Find) to search all metadata (the word I was looking for was in the description field) and now it went well.
However changing back to quick search field did not get the wanted result, the content stayed empty.
Choosing new search (button top of content window) brought back the extended file menu but to my surprise not with the criteria 'all metadata' as I had set before but again with File name and keyword.
Seems a bug to me so feel free to file it ![]()
Thanks for looking into this. Did either of you, or anyone else, try the search with "include non-indexed files"? You do not have to let it complete the search, but see if it goes into the indexing mode.
In lower left corner you should see the spinning arrow and "indexing xxxx folder". With my copy of CS6 that does not happen. It does nothing. Which leads me to believe the indexing function is not working, which is why I get no results.
