which adobe program

I am interested in designing greeting cards and wanted some recommendations , I have used Photoshop for several years and now trying InDesign and illustrator and wanted to know which program or program others are using for this purpose or which programs people suggest and why.

    Bob,

     

    The more graphic work, the more Illustrator; the more layout, the more InDesign.

     

    There is an overlap.

     

    You can go all the way with Illustrator, for vector artwork.

    So if I get really creative I should be using both programs , thanks for the response that is helpful .
