When will adobe send emails for complimentary upgrade to CS6?
"Normal"? I can think of other words! I got the same response via Live Chat. And there are several threads reporting that when the promotional codes/coupons finally arrive, they fail to work, forcing the unfortunate purchasers to start over again with Adobe Customer Service. This is appalling. How can such a company be trusted with SaaS or cloud services?
To be fair to Adobe: I got an email this morning, containing a link to the online store. Once I visited the page and signed in, I was able to "buy" the upgrade at zero cost. I did not have to enter credit card details. It went very smoothly, and the serial number provided converted a trial version I had installed to a fully licensed version.
I hope you get your email soon. If it doesn't come by 25 May, you should get in touch with them. The Live Chat facility worked better for me than trying to get through on the phone. Here's the link: http://www.adobe.com/support/download-install/supportinfo/
It is now May 24 and no email from Adobe.
Thank you for the link aongusc. I will have to set aside a good chunk of time tomorrow after work, with a cup of coffee and maybe angrybirds to chat with them.
Why are they waiting for the last moment to send an email? I am trying not to be negative and say something stupid in public, but this is really not a way to treat customers.
Without getting into quantum physics, I understand that physical items that take up space can't reach everyone at the same time, but emails? Is there a rational explanation? If there is, someone should publish it.
Ironically over the last month I have gotten a half dozen emails encouraging me to upgrade to CS6. Today I got an email telling me that my Photoshop CS6 beta was about to expire. I don't think I would have even thought about Adobe on this particular day if it wasn't for this email. I just want to get my serial number and move on.
When I talked to the rep on May 21 (the one who didn't hang up on me, because the first one did), he told me he would "expedite" the email so I would get it in two days (which would have been yesterday). Of course before he checked whether they had sent the email, he had me check my spam folder. Only then was he willing to check whether the email had been sent. Make the customer do the work! Of course who knows whether he even checked or just took a cigarette break and came back to tell me he had "expedited" the email.
Anyway, thank you for your help. We shall see what happens tomorrow. Should I wait until 5:00 pm pacific time to chat with them?
Did everyone get the upgrade serial numbers?
3 weeks ago I applied for my serial to CS6. I have opened 2 Support cases that they never answered. I have been in contact with the Live chat support team and they disconnected me twice. Every time they promise me I will get a serial number within 2-3 days. 15 bussiness days has gone by and still no serial number. On mfriday the guy promised me I will get a serial the same day. It is monday now.
Any ideas or advice??
