| I have just updated to AE CS6. I'd like to know if my GPU is compatible. I am running Windows 8 Consumer Preview, 64-bit. GPU processor: | Quadro FX 580. |

Everything not listed there is not compatible with the GPU raytracer (normal OpenGL stuff will work on any card). Everything else is a moot point, anyway - you are using a Beta operating system, so even if your card were supported, driver issues could prevent any of this from working.

Yes I understand about my Beta Windows operating system that is kind of why I am posting. In CS5 I have the option to turn on Open GL but with CS6 I do not. I have searched everywhere to find out if my graphic card is compatible with CS6 Open GL but all I can find is in the Tech Specs "Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU-accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer*" I cannot find if my specific card should work. Any ideas?
As I wrote, what's not listed there is not supported. The rest is between you, your Win 8 Beta and whatever NVidia Beta drivers may be required. Really, you are asking the wrong people. I can't imagine any reason why anyone here would risk his productions by running an entire operating system Beta and the otehr half is simply Mac users. whatever answers you seek therefore probably never will come up.

I have fixed this problem on my machine and thought I would post just incase others are looking for a solution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qF0BRLQsFw&feature=youtube_gdata_playe r
