ArgumentError #2004

May 23, 2012 1:19 PM

Tags: #error #bug #muse #2004 #bugreport

Hi, I`ve just upgrated muse to the non beta version and, after working in one of my projects I saved it and closed it. Later on the same day, I tried to open the project and the message: ArgumentError: Error #2004: One of the parameters is invalid, and than Adobe Muse is closed. Please, I need an answer fast, cause the solution of this problem may determine if I`ll continue using Muse on my projects. Another information: This is the only project that shows this error message, I have others that work fine!

Thanks.

Sorry for the delayed response. Please send the .muse file that is having the issue to muse-support at adobe.com, along with a link to this thread. Thanks!

Please send your .muse file to muse-support@adobe.com along with a link to this thread. If the file is larger than 20Mb, you can send it using a service like Adobe SendNow, SendThisFile or WeTransfer. Assuming we're able to reproduce the error using your file, we should be able to provide a workaround until the source of the problem can be fixed. Thanks.

Sorry to hear. I've been using Muse this the first beta and have never had this issue. The error #2004 seems to be isolated to the "Web Fonts." Don't use them until Adobe releases a fix. Its a good product that I have high hopes for.

The source in the web fonts.

The bug — at least the specific instance kumistudio ran into — has been isolated to changing the height of multiple text frames simultaneously (by first multi-selecting them), regardless of which kind of font is used. Until a fix is available, the workaround is to set text frame heights one by one.

    Hi

I am also experiencing this issue. I tried resizing boxes and replacing web fonts to websafe fonts but to no avail.

I've had to force quit the app twice.

Shall I also email the file to muse-support@adobe.com ?

    Please advise. Urgent.

    Kind regards

    Russ

    Hi Abhishek,

I've just experienced the same issue. Every time I try and open the file the error message pops up and Muse closes.

Shall I email the file through?

    Please advise ASAP - urgent!

    Regards,

    Toby

And another one.... just putting final touches on site and now I'm locked out of it. Yes I did group resize text-frames in the last page layout so could well be the issue.

Is there a method for unpacking the muse file to dreamweaver or some other alternative?

    Cheers,

    Nic.
