I have downloaded the file designwebpremium cs6. When I try to open it the process stops because my Mac does not recognize the file.
Apologies for replying late.
Select a dmg file, CMD+I, and see what it says for Open with. If it's not DiskImageMounter.app, then click on the drop-down menu, select Other, select your HD from the drop-down menu and navigate to System/Library/CoreServices and select it and click the Change All button. Now try to mount it.
If incase the above step doesn't work then the chances is the file is corrupt , may be becuase of failed download , hence re-download and check.
Open with shows Disk Image Punter (Default) and gives the same error message
Even if I follow your other steps it fails to load
the download file size is: 4,641,567,046 bytes
the download file name is : DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.dmg

I have no idea how to do that on an iMac. What I typed out was the exact details as they appear - like the other person said there is little displayed, just a box appears saying:
The following disk images couldn't be opened
Reason: not recognized
BLU82b it appears the disk image you downloaded is corrupted. Please see http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-download s.html to download a new copy of Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium.
I have the same problem
I can't fix it and I download several times, the file extraction size is 5.24gb, but the extenion is unreconozible, when I try to open any of them.
these are the files after unzip:
i'm not sure where you're getting that file but if you have the correct dmg files you should be able to mount them:
if one of your dmg files fails to mount correctly, re-download from prodesigntools:
if you follow all 7 steps, you can dl a trial via one of the links on this page: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.
