Backwards Compatibility?

When you create a panel in Configurator 3 for CS6 is there a way to make the same panel backwards compatible for use in CS5? I ask for this because if I create a panel for CS6 which I am using but want to share it with a friend who is on CS5 I have to re-create the panel from scratch as far as I can tell. I get an error when I try to install the .zxp file into CS5. Even a way to "downgrade" the panel in configurator would be useful.

Currently Configurator 3 doesn't support such feature.

You can create a panel with Configurator 2 that will work with both Photoshop CS5 and CS6. The name of your Panel need to have on space. But I suggest you to create a CS5 version with configurator 3 , create you zxp file then convert the panel in CS6 and create another package.
