Go to the Documents list, then horizontally swipe over the file, and you'll see a red colored Delete button.

Unfortunately it doesnt allow multiple selection. I am forced to delete 1 file at a time.

Is there faster way to do it on iPad itself other than using iTunes Desktop?

I am not able to swipe and delete just one file. Either nothing happens or the PDF is opened. What am I doing wrong?

As a point of clarification, when you have a file open in Adobe Reader and tap on the upper left corner, tap Home, then tap Documents. Then you can delete a file. I was mistaking the labe of Documents at the top of the screen with the list of recently viewed files underneath to be the area from which you can delete files - you cannot. You must tap on Documents and then can swipe horizontally to delete the file.

    Thanks!
