broken previews for elements with rotation

Hello guys,
we are exporting preview images of indesign pages via plugin. Everything was ok so far but now we have an issue that I don't understand. One of our customers is using a small psd-file in his documents, nothing special. The exported image looks ok if the frame with this image has no rotation applied to it:
but if we apply some rotation (5 degrees in this case) the preview image looks like this:
maybe somebody has a clue what's going wrong here?
