GetUniqueObject method

Hi all,

 

I am calling a client that returns the unique ID of an element. As I need to get a handle on the element, I thought this would do the trick:

 

myElement = myDoc.GetUniqueObject ( Constants.FO_Element, myElementID );

 

But all I am getting is an InvalidObject. What am I missing here ?

 

Of course it might be that I have an incorrect unique ID, but how do I check that ? In the FM user interface, the unique ID of an element is not readily displayed. Any suggestions ?

    Never mind,

     

    I found that the element ID returned from the CallClient was incorrect. The GetUniqueObject method works fine when I hardcode a valid ID (which I retrieved from a MIF save of the file).
