I bought the box version of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 but could not install on my MacBook Air because it has no disk drive. So I downloaded a trial version of each, thinking that I could easily validate the trial versions with the license keys from the box set. But - where and how can I do this. I'm having trouble finding the place to input these. Any ideas?
When you install the software you will be prompted to try the software as a trial or install as a purchased product. Choose the option to install as a purchased product. Alternately you can install as a trial and you will have the option then to enter your serial number when launching the software.
Well, you know, if it was as simple as that, I would have done it. But
Adobe makes nothing simple and it took me about an hour to find out the way
to do it. Neither product took me to a page to enter the serial number
(after I had installed the trial software previously).
You must launch either product and go into the edit mode (I think - I
stumbled upon it and it worked, but now I forget exactly how it was done),
then find your way through another menu, until a page pops up allowing you
to insert the license key. Absolutely non-intuitive (just like most of
Photoshop!).
Anyway, if someone else has this issue, the answer is out there, you just
need to keep searching for it. You may grow old in the process but
eventually you'll figure it out.
Good luck!
