#_AdobeError_# 1603

Jun 1, 2012 10:41 AM

Have been running cs3 for quite a while on Windows 7 64 bit. Suddenly it was impossible to run any of the programs. A message about license error was displayed. Tried everything I could find about this but nothing worked. Therefore I uninstalled everything I tried to install it again. Now I have been struggling a couple of days to install it but it simply refuses. Have tried lots of things found on forums but nothing helps. Status is that the log included lines with: #_AdobeError_# 1603

I don't know if this is the cause...but I have tried everything in

http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1603-install-cs3-cs4.ht ml

without any luck.

Now I also have the problem

Error 1904.Module C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlDbg9c.ocx failed to register

found in the eventviewer. Previously I got rid of the problem by register the osx manually, but know it seems to appear again.

PLEASE help me. I have important things to do in Photoshop, I have spent days trying to solve it.

I would recommend starting with using the uninstaller in Start>Control Panels>Programs & Features.  Once you have attempted and hopefully completed this task then please run the Clean up tool.  You can find more details regarding this at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation -problems.html.

So the entires remain in Programs & Features even after running the uninstaller and running the cleaner tool?  Are you using some type of system optimizer/registry cleaner on your system?

"Failed to register" usually indicates some registry permission problem.  Do you run the installer under an Administrator user?  Can you try right-clicking on the installer, then select Run as Administrator?

It seems that the ocx that fails to register is some sort of Flash component.  If you still have the problem, can you try if the method outlined in http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-windows-registry-p ermissions.html fixes the problem?
