I am trying to replace the yellow flower with the butterfly as subpicture highlight for the four buttons. I duplicated the butterfly so they are identical. I want to make one layer white (highlighted state) and colored (unhighlighted). Or just have one layer that is invisible until selected. Please explain how to bring it into the menu.
Is there a way to do it within Encore?
The menu editing in Encore is, I find, difficult. Use the "Edit in Photoshop."
Drag the butterfly to the menu, and move the layer to one of the button groups, and delete the current highlight layer and rename the new layer.
For information about the naming of Encore menu layers (e.g. =1 etc for highlight layers), see help:
So now read about color sets:

You are probably seeing the automatic color set created by Encore when you edit your menu. You can change to set the colors you want.
