Can One Preload an Edge Animation

I have a fairly simple Edge Preview animation which I have placed into my folio as an .oam file. It works fine in Content Viewer, but the user must click on it and then wait for it to load - 2 to 3 seconds.

When placing Web Content, there is an option to preload. I see a preloader in Edge - is that my only option? The preload for my JS web content is much more seamless.

Thanks,

Dan

Note to Bob B: is the photography in DPS Tips your own? It's nice.

Dan - I haven't played with Edge that much, but I like to select the placed .oam frame and set it to Auto Play with a .125 second delay in the Overlays panel. With v20, HTML preloads without the dreaded spinning wheel. If I want users to tap to trigger it, I'll put it on an MSO state and create a button. Someone with more experience using Edge animations with DPS (like Bob Levine) might want to chime in.

To answer your question about the photography in DPS, I get most of the images from a good friend of mine who gave me permission to use her photography: http://www.flickr.com/people/minette_layne/

Edge does allow for poster images but I haven’t really played that much with it lately.
