Jun 12, 2012 11:37 AM

i seem to miss the whole download ease at adobe - i try to install digital editions and i always stumble upon this little window asking me to choose the member type to run the installation as (run as) - admin or current user. nothing i choose to do seems to be working (even changed some passwords, just to be sure the ones i use are the correct ones...) help!?

    Moved to Adobe Digital Editions

Please let us know what OS you are using?

Your issue is with Windows 7, not Digital Editions.  Your OS is set so that

only certain classes of users can install software.  I'm not a Win 7 guy,

so I can't tell you what settings you should change.

'Fireman Bob' posted this entry this morning:

"I had this same issue. The morons at Adobe tech support went back and

forth for 1/2 hour trying to solve this....!

Here's the solution: donwload the setup.exe file, goto the file and right

click on it and select "run as administrator". Problem solved."

I am passing this on but have no way to determine if it will work for you.

At this point, perhaps it's worth a try!
