How does dreamweaver cs6 remember window size and position?

Jun 13, 2012 4:10 AM

How does dreamweaver cs6 remember window size and position, like in CS5.5, CS5, CS4 etc.

I need more than one window the same time on the monitor, side by side, not stacked.

Has anyone tryed to open 5 windows the same time, without tabs?

It is not possible to scale them down manually because the grip leaves the monitor.

Any idea?

I would also like to know how to get windows to remember the window size. In CS5 I would open a file, set the edit window set a certian size and it would remember that size even when I restart the program. CS6 opens each new file in a full width window if no other files are open. Is this a bug in CS6?

Count me in too. It's a huge pain! I'm sure this is a bug, as I never had trouble with prior versions.

Another issue I'm having is the outline of the "Application Bar" appears (I have it turned off). The only way I've found to get rid of it is to switch it on, then off again.

Yes, same issue here, just looking to see if there's a fix. I have the application frame turned off, and every time I open a new file it opens fullscreen. Never done this in previous versions so I'm guessing it's a bug.

I've filed a bug report. I wonder how many people have reported this bug. There has been no update to Dreamweaver in quite some time. This bug makes Dreamweaver CS6 completely unusable for me. I'm using CS5 until this bug gets fixed.

AFAIK, quite a few have. Let's wait for the next major update to see what comes up.

I just saw there was an update to Dreamweaver, and eagerly installed it. Sad to say, this problem was not fixed by it, so Dreamweaver CS6 goes back into the closet.

I have the same problem. I have the latest Dreamweaver installed on my Mac through Creative Cloud. I can't figure out how to create a workspace that will keep the main Dreamweaver window from taking up the entire CPU. I've tried over and over again to create a new workspace, but CS6 doesn't remember the setting. This is driving me nuts! Is there a fix for this?
