Actions in Acrobat X Professional are batch processes. You can create your own actions that include JavaScript and you have a number of ways to select files to be processed. You will need to use one of the set actions methods available to Acrobat JavaScript.
One can not start Batch Processes or Actions with JavaScript or a command line parameter. You have to open Acrobat and work through the UI.
