Email access

Hello,

I am new bc user and I've created an email account in my main server domain, so it's the same as my Adobe ID (bc login). For account other than this one (different login, same domain) I set a password and can access the account through webmail. I don't know how to set a password for account with the same address as Adobe ID. When I log into my Admin Console I can send Password recovery e-mail, but when I click on the link in recovery e-mail, after trying to set a new password I get an error message "Adobe ID login failed. The Adobe ID password you entered is incorrect" and still don't know how to get an access to my email account, that is created on bc account.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

    Hi,

We can reset the password on your behalf so that you can set the correct password for the email account within webmail.

You can send me a private message with the email and I can respond back with your reset password.

    Kind regards,

    -Sidney

Is it just me or did the webmail login used to have a forgot password button? I have a client (this very morning) who has forgotten their password but clearly cannot reset the password because there is no option.

I do not want to be the one who is asked all the time to reset a password. What if I for some reason cannot gain access to a partner account?

Maybe BC webmail has never had it and I am just assuming it did because something so obvious and so standard in industry is not available. Basic usability dictates this needs to be available.

Is there another method to solve this problem without the requirement to contact support? If so what is it? Otherwise this is just inefficient double handeling. Maybe even shed some light as to why this choice was made by BC?

@Matthew -> There's a few options.  If the client also has admin access you can go to site settings -> admin users -> send recovery password.  Otherwise if an email only password as the partner you can reset via portal -> client tab or we can reset the password for the client.

@Pixelman -> If its an adobe ID then I cannot reset the password you'll need to go to "https://www.adobe.com/account.html" to action this.  If not a merged adobe ID then I can help reset.  To confirm please provide me the ID needing reset via private message so I can confirm.

    Kind regards,

    -Sidney

    @Pixelman

I understand and if updating the password within webmail it'll not change your Adobe ID password as the Adobe ID password can only be changed via adobe.com/account.

If still needing further help or stuck please log a case with your login details and we'll investigate.

    Kind regards,

    -Sidney
