Panoramic Dilema

Jun 21, 2012 3:52 AM

Hello all,

Wondering if someone could help me out with a problem i've been having with Pano2VR. Trying to convert a normal panoramic picture into cube faces, I have tried this a few times and when it finishes converting them I have two cubes with big blank cirlces over them. See image below which shows what i'm on about. Is there a certain way I need to prepare my images before i convert some I can get a full cube net. Thanks in advance.

This is a common issue. The easiest thing to do is to the change the settings in the panorama so that users can't swipe up or down -- they can only spin horizontally. If that's too limiting, you can open those 5 and 6 images in Photoshop and do some filling in.

Did you take the photographs to create the source panorama file? If so, and if you have time, you can re-shoot this images, only this time take three sets of 360-degree images with your camera in portrait position -- middle, high, and low. Photoshop usually does an excellent job of stitching the images together.
