item in drop down menu does not show up when I print

Created an interactive form that has a drop down menu to selec US state.  Problem is the state selected does not show up when the form is printed.  Instead the field is blank.  What do I need to do to correct this?

    Is this the only field which does not print or is there just this one field. (When printing, toggle Document and Markups if there is only one field)

     

    It sounds like the properties for this one field are set not to print.

    Insepect the Field properties, or remove it and add it new.

    Daniel,  this is the only item on my form that is a drop down menu.  All other input fields print what the user types in.

     

    I originally paid for someone to do the form for me.  Since then I purchased Acrobat so I could make changes myself, however, I am new to this as I just got the program.

     

    Could you explain in more detail exactly what I should do to make it so the item selected in the drop down menu will show up when the form is printed?

    I'm using AA 9, your menu's may vary.

    From the Forms menu, Add or Edit Fields

    The Fields pane should appear, right click the field and select Properties. An entry as shown would prevent the field from printing.
