Cursor in CS6 Illustrator will not change from hand

I have the cloud version of Illustrator CS6 and when I open a document the cursor should change its icon from a hand to a pointing tool or an icon of a magnifying glass for instance if I choose the zoom tool. It's not doing that. Thelayer is unlocked and selected however I can not use any tools.

    Hi patGFRXS,

I'm moving your post over to the Illustrator forum.

I get this all the time. You randomly select any tool and it gives you the hand literally. Is Adobe mocking me?

The only solution I have found is restarting your computer.

Does anyone know hos to rectify this issue?

I am having the same issue as julieherczeg. I'm using Creative Cloud CS6 on a MBP and I'm "getting the hand" from Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign almost on a daily basis. The hand appears and I cannot switch to any other tool without quitting the application and resarting my machine.

    Is there a fix?

What happens when you hit keys like S, R, M, P (Scale, Rotate, Rectangle, Pen)?

    HI Steve -

I haven't tried using the keyboard shortcuts, but trying to select those tools from the toolbar does nothing.

Next time this happens I'll try using the keyboard and will report back to you.

Same problem here.  I have to quit the app to fix it and sometime I even have to restart my Mac...

Next time, I'll tried the keyboar too.

Tried it with the keyboard.  Not helping.

Close Illustrator and any other Adobe App including Acrobat Reader. Go to Task Manager > Services and disable Adobe CSX Service Manager. X refering to whichever version you are using.

    Open Illustrator again, and voila.

    Problem solved.

I just realized that by deleting Adobe CSX Service Manager without quitting Illustrator, and changing tools with keyboard shortcuts such as Q P or V also fixes the problem.

I found a way to fix it!
By pressing the space bar it removes the hand and brings back the tool you use.  It is working in .psd and .ai.
