For several months now I have been unable to do the online backup/sync. I get a message that the system is "detecting changes" in either my online storage or Elements 10 on my PC. But nothing gets resolved. I have 136 Gb online, and about 15 Gb showing as "pending" but I can't get things to sync up. Please help....????!!!!
I have the same problem. 128 files are pending backup/sync. Initiating "backup/sync now" does nothing. I thought it might be a preferences issue and attempted to open the backup/sync preferences (in pse10) but it won't open. Clicking "restore default settings" in Preferences doesn't help; I still get the same error message every time. It's frustrating. I'm on a MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.7.4. Anybody got ideas??
OK, I got it fugured out. I had been launching the "Adobe Elements 10 Organizer" app directly. What ya gotta do is launch "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10." That opens up a welcome screen in which you can sign in with your Adobe ID. Once signed in, the Organizer launches, backup/sync preferences is available, and backup/sync will work.
Backup is running normally now. We'll see how it goes; going to take a while.
EDIT> Yep, that was the problem. Backup/Sync works fine now.
My problem was that I was by-passing that screen but when I started launching correctly and got that screen, the problem went away.
So, since you are getting that screen, I don't know where your problem might lie, except that maybe you must wait for the connection to your Photoshop.com account to be made (that status message "Gathering User Info..." at the bottom will be replaced with your "user info"} before clicking on that "Organize" button.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
