How do I save/export pdf files to my computer to be opened without my web browser?

I am doing some work in a law firm, and I hve been downloading forms off of the USCIS website for the past couple of months. Since I recently updated my adobe reader, I can no longer save the forms to my computer. The purple bar across the top of the .pdf says that saving is allowed, however when I hit save as from my browser it says it cannot be exported. Also, when I hit the save button on the pdf toolbar it saves to my computer, but cannot be opened. Please help me with this situation.

What is your operating system and web browser?

Saving a PDF (or any file linked on a web page) can be done without actually opening it; you can save it directly from the web page.

What do you mean "cannot be opened" - what exactly happens when you try?  Does the same thing happen when you save the PDF with the direct method from the browser?

When I open the link you posted, I see the link 'Download Form I-130' on top of that page.

In Firefox (on Windows) I right-click on that link and select 'Save link as...' and the PDF is saved to my local disk.

When you write "it did not work", what exactly happens when you try to save the document from the browser?

(I hope someone with some Mac knowledge can help out here; I have no clue how to do things on a Mac.)

    What is your Reader version?

Does the same thing happen if you save the PDF directly from the link in Firefox?
