Easier ways to tag images?

Jul 1, 2012 10:20 PM

I'm going through tons of photos and applying keywords to the overall events, so maybe as an example it is a bday party so I select all of those images and tag them all as such. Next, I am trying to tag individual people within all of the tagged bday party images, and as I'm sure you are aware, it is very tedious. Just curious if there is any other way to do this?

Thank you in advance.

You could find all photos with "Steve", and add the keywords to all of those photos at once. Then you repeat with "Mary", and "Fred", and "Usain" and so on.

No one said keywording was easy or quick; it does require effort. The benefits are huge. The value of something is related to the work you put into it.

There's at least 3 different ways to apply keywords to multiple selected images--the Keywording panel (which actually has 3 methods itself), the Keyword List panel, and the Painter. Are you familiar with all of them? Maybe using an alternative approach to the way you are currently doing it--which you didn't tell us btw--would get the job done more efficiently.
