Hi Folks.
I am one of those users, Adobe Master Collection CS6, whose Acrobat X stopped working mysteriously a few days back. I followed the discussions on the forums here where others were experiencing it and took the advice on offer to delete cache.db and reenter my serial number. That worked a treat. Until right now, after only a few days of all being well my Acrobat is gone down again
.
When I followed the said instructions above, I created a backup copy of my working cache.db file and it is 16Kb in size. Now, looking at my current cache.db file, it is 20Kb in size, so something has happened to it, it's grown in size by 4Kb and I'm wondering if whatever this problem is is related to this extra 4Kb of data which has been added to the file?
Two questions...
1. Is there some way for me to send this file to Adobe so they can take a look at it and see if they can figure out what's going on?
2. Is there a solution to this that works! I don't want to have to keep replacing my cache.db file every few days to keep Acrobat working
.
The growth in file size is probably just a side effect of the encryption when it gets locked. You can use the Feature Request/Bug Report Form to report your issue, but there is no guarantees anyone will follow up. Anyway, since this is a frequent issue, I'm sure one of the next updates for AAM is already in the works and will fix it.
