Restricting site search - excluding various things

Okay I have followed the instructions at http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/731/bc_731.html?bc-partner

 

So that my search line now looks like:-

<form action="/Default.aspx?SiteSearchID=50&amp;ID=/search-results.htm&amp; Collecctions=X&amp;OT=6,7,9,43,55,35,26,48" method="post" name="catsearchform85306" >

 

However the search results are still including those areas that I want excluded.

 

What have I done wrong??

    Ran a re-index in the site search option in the admin and see how you get on?

    Can anyone provide the correct link for the details on paramaters to restrict search results as the one provided above is another example of knowldgebase articles being re-directed to new help documentation which does not include the original material. There are so many instances of this happening it is getting quite annoying.

     

    I am simply after the details of the paramaters that can be applied to yoru site serach module to limit which content to include in the site search

     

     

    GOT IT: New technique for browsing KB - be quick and prss the ESC key before the page redirects - now that is user friendly !

    Old Kb does not redirect Greg if you go to it directly

    New one is crap to use but more up to date with the elements.

     

    Bit of a mess for things I know But I am now googling BC and the terms to find what I need lol.
