Adobe Reader for Kindle

I have a Kindle keyboard device.  I'm interested in purchasing travel guides from Lonely Planet's website in the form of PDF files.  To use them on my Kindle, I'd have to put Adobe Reader on my Kindle.  LP's website says it can be done, but I can't figure out how.  Help!
