How to create e-mail link in Muse?

Jul 14, 2012 4:08 PM

Selecting the e-mail address on a page and entering the same address in the hyperlink box DOES NOT toke you to a mail client to send an e-mail. Is there any way to link to e-mail addresses in Muse?

You have to use this format in the hyperlink box:

    mailto:name@domain.com?subject=whatever

The problem may be the formatting of the adress here in the forum.

    I try it again:

    mailto:emailadress

    should be enough.

If you want to add a subject, try this

    mailto:emailadress?subject=who_knows

    This works absolutly correct here

    Hello goldsteinronen,

We have reproduced the issue and we're currently working on a fix. In the meanwhile, the workaround is to go back to link dropdown, and remove the "http://" without altering the rest of the URL.

Please let me know if it helps.

    Thanks!

    Razvan

    Hi

I have same problem. but We can be avoided in the following ways.

    • Write directly to the html tag

    1. Add object (html)
    2. Write directly to the html tag
      <a Href="mailto:YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM">YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM</A>

I'll specify the subject of the mail
    <A Href="mailto:
    YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM?Subject=SUBJECT"> YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM</A>

I'll specify the message and subject of the email
    <A Href="mailto:
    YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM?subject=SUBJECT&body=MESSAGE">YOUR@MAILADDRESS.COM</A>

    Good luck.

Hi, unfortunately I do not have the hyperling field on the top of my design page.

I have instead a blue "links" with a drop down menu wher I can add or filter links. Where do I find the hyperlink field to type "mailto:....

    thanks for a reply

    Hello,

The hyperlink option has been changed to "Links" in the new update.

You can select the text/item and then on to Links dropdown. Type in either just the email address (email@domain.com) or mailto:email@domain.com and press Return/Enter.

It should apply the mailto hyperlink to the text/item.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Sachin
