Problem opening PrE9 in PrE10

After having problems rendering a video in PrE9 (Windows) I thought I'd try a trial PrE10 on OsX. When I try to open the project though I get an error message

Is this down to the trial version being used or can you not open PrE9 in PrE10?

You can not open a project created in Windows on a Mac.

Same problem here! Is there a way to do this? Convert the file or something?

Sorry no. You can not open a project created in Windows on a Mac and vice versa.
