File sharing tool?

Jul 18, 2012 6:57 AM

I have a client that needs to share large files that cannot be emailed.  These are not downloads for the general public (i.e. literature), but file sharing with certain individuals or small groups. FTP is too complex and I'm thinking something like Dropbox would be best. Can anyone recommend other options that work well and are easy to use? Thanks.

Dropbox is worth considering, you can get 2 GB for free, and it has simple sharing controls.  If you need more space their pricing is reasonable.

You can also try a MS skydrive.

Also there are free amazon s3 and windows azure options that might work and are not to difficult to setup a simple file repository.

If you need enterprise / workgroup features you may wish to consider Box.com

Dropbox, Google Drive, Creative Cloud Lots of modern Webdav based technologies out there which are easy to use and fairly seamless. Dropbox has a lead on features but google is awesome on speed and price.
