How do i move a clip on timeline a frame at a time

Jul 19, 2012 4:22 AM

Hi

I have cs6.

I am having problems moving clips slightly on the timeline, ie frame by frame, when i try to move I dont get the fine control, it jumps a second.

How do I get fine control?

Also, with cs5.5 I could zoom in/out of the timeline, using the 'mountains' to drazg right left etc. I dont have this on CS6 ?? any ideas

Many thanks

Use Alt + L/R Arrow keys, or Alt + dot/comma keys.

    For zooming on the timeline:

You can use the bar at the bottom of the timeline by dragging the ends in or out

    + or - key or Alt+scroll.

If your mouse is over the zoom/scroller bar (in the timeline or below any of the monitors):

    • it will zoom in and out just by rolling the wheel
    • SHIFT + wheel makes it zoom faster
    • ALT + wheel makes it pan
    • ALT + SHIFT + wheel = pan faster
