Let's get Flash packaging Android apps over 50MB ...

Jul 19, 2012 12:50 PM

I filed a bug over on https://bugbase.adobe.com/

BUG ID 3291790

Vote it up so we can deliver apps over 50MB to the Google Play store!

INFO:

The Google Play store requires any app over 50MB to be broken into extension files.  There is currently no way to package your project in Flash Pro CS6 using Google's required methods.

A 50 MB file is too large, try to optimize your code and images (actually a file of 20, already very large).

Applications built with Flash, running on AIR in android, do not run directly on Android, making it impossible broke Into extension files.

For this to work, AIR should be able to read files split, and besides, Google Play would have to allow upload AIR split files (not the same android apk file, that a file apk AIR )

Maybe you could make an application that its only function would be to copy the mp3 files in a folder inside the device, and then from your main aplicaion you could upload "externally" the arfchivos mp3
