HI,
Recently my computer went dark and I can no longer get any info from that computer. It had my Adobe Muse website file. I did have a cloud backup service but it for some reason did not backup. Is there any way to get the file from the published website. I have already downloaded adobe to my new computer. Thanks for anyone's help!
Hi Danstal,
Sorry to give you the bad news, but no - there is no way to 'reverse retrieve' your .muse file through the published website.
If you lost the actual, working .mu file - you will have to start again from scratch. What Muse exports in it's "File -> Export as HTML" does not include the native file, only what the website requires to function and run. (HTML, CSS, image files and the like)
I think of it like this: The .mu file is like the InDesign native file, and the exported HTML etc is like the PDF-X file that is sent to the print bureau. You wouldn't be able to use that PDF-X file to start a fresh InDesign document and make edits. You would have the original InDesign file and the same applies to Muse.
