NEED BRIDGE TO DEFAULT TO 6 NOT 5

How can I get Bridg 6 to default and open?  It's defaulting to version CS5.

 

and mini bridge does not launch in the app..

    Bridge cs5 may be launched at system startup.  Do you have 'Start Bridge at Login' checked in your Bridge cs5? (Edit > Preferences > Advanced)

    That is precisely why you are being told to check your preferences in Bridge CS5 and make sure that you do NOT have Bridge CS5 set to launch Bridge CS5 automatically.  

     

    If you are on a Mac, the Preferences menu item is under the Bridge menu.  In Windows it's as indicated by Robert Shomler in reply #1: Edit > Preferences > Advanced.

    sorry, I get stuff on my phone, so can't see everything.

     

    yes, it's checked at login.... I unchecked, it and all is find.

    All of the above is rather confusing.  Basically only one version of Bridge will run at the same time.  So it Bridge CS5 is running the in the background it will open no matter what you do.

    My reading of post #4 is that he had not realized that CS5 was set to launch automatically, so he went into Bridge CS5 preferences and unchecked that option and now everything is fine, meaning CS6 is now launching as he wanted all along.
