Help with install error 1706

I keep getting error 1706 when I try to install Adobe Acrobat X ver 10. I am not installing from a disc but I keep getting asked to go to a disc for a file. What can I do?

This indicates there maybe problems with where you registry is referencing the install files. I would recommend you try the Acrobat Clean up tool located at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
