Add filter to content finder

I want to restrict the content finder to only show images for a specific website (that is related to the content page that has been added/viewed), is this possibe? I was looking to customise this "/apps/wcm/extensions/contentfinder" but copying this folder under "apps/my-site", any change are visible by other websites on the same CQ instance.

If you have multiple websites define acl such a way assets are restricted to other websites there by it does not get listed.

I haven't tried this in person alternative option would be create a custom cf tab such that it fetches based on your definition.
