Custom widget values not getting saved

Hi ,

I'm using DAY CQ 5.4 , My requirement is to populate a drop down (xtype = selection , type = select )  inside dialog dynamically from the values coming from jsp. I have created a custom widget extending the 'Selection'  widget .Everything is working fine , even the options in dropdown are getting loaded , but after saving the dialog . The value in the option is not getting saved in the node .

Can anyone let me know how to handle this case.
