Keep getting 'ver undefined'.

Jul 24, 2012 12:07 PM

I'm using Cp 5.5, Windows 7, behind firewall at work.

I created a new project, added some quiz slides, and other slides.

I put the ACCCWidget on the first slide, duration set to 'rest of project'.

I logged into the course companion dashboard.

I double clicked the widget, logged in, and got a confirmation for registering the project.

After refreshing the dashboard page, I see my lesson, but it says '(ver undefined)' even though there is a version I put in. I just typed '1.0' in the version field. (Subsequent to writting this, I tried deleting the widget, re-inserting it, logging in inputting 'v1' for the version, so there is no '.' in the string, but the dashboard still says 'ver undefined' next to the lesson.)

I published the lesson, put it on a webserver at work, behind a firewall.

I launched the lesson in Firefox using the URL.

I go through the lesson to the end. Preloader is set to 100% on the lesson.

I refreshed the course companion dashboard, but don't see any data. See attachments.

    Hi,

Make sure that you are running the course in flash player trusted location.

Go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/se ttings_manager04.html and add the folder (which has publ, ished course) as trusted folder.

Now run the course and see whether it works fine.

    Regards,

    Vikranth

    Hi Mike,

The flash player settings is needed if you are running the course on local machine but if it is run on web server then it does not depend on the flash player trust settings.

Regarding the ver shown as undefined, it appears if you just register the course and login into the dashboard without even taking it once.

After registering the course, just run it once and then login into the dashboard then you should be able to see the version correctly. Also, for existing course you can take the course once, login into the dashboard and then click on update button.

    Regards,

    Vikranth

    Hi Mike,

Did you click on the update button in the dashboard? If not click on it and see whether you can see the data.

If you still face problems after this, you can share the swf to my adobe id vikranth@adobe.com, i will debug the issue.

    Regards,

    Vikranth
