Classic Tweens have vanished

Jul 24, 2012 10:49 AM

I've been using classic tweens for my animations. Motion tweens don't quite work the way I needed, so I stuck with classic. Strangely, when I went to work on the animation today the option to use classic tweens was gone. When I right-click for the tween menu, I can't even see the option (it's not that it's greyed out, it's that it is GONE).

What's going on?

I went back and looked at previous animations I created using classic tweens and I can no longer create new ones.

I use Flash CS5 and Windows 7. I will un-update or do whatever I can to get classic tweens back until this project is complete. I can work out a way for motion tweens to suffice after this, but not when I'm under a deadline.

Could you please delete the prefrence file start the application again? To know more on how you could do this, see this help article.

Please be sure your selection is on an unlocked layer that contains a symbol (like a MovieClip) that is valid to tween. Many times I've locked a layer or didn't have a frame selected in the right place and Flash simply let me know I can't make a tween with what I have selected.
