Prevent InDesign from packaging DCS into separate folders?

Is there a solution to prevent InDesign from packaging DCS EPS files into separate folders?

We recenly upgraded our Mac environment to OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7 and it appears to occur within InDesign CS4-CS6 on either Mac OS version. Other standard file formats, such as JPEG, TIFF or EPS all appear to collect normally.

I haven’t used a DCS file in more than 10 years and I had no idea InDesign would do that.

Gotta ask…why are you using them.

Legacy workflow and PDF Image replacement with Xinet.

We're building varnishes directly into files.

Might be solved with TIFF plus spot channels or .PSD.

Still doesn't fix the package issue!

I wouldn’t count on a fix any time soon, though.

I tried a 5-color PSD file and it packaged and separated correctly.
