black screen after scan

I have a mac book pro and I use Hp photosmart plus printer/scanner. Earlier today a pop up came up asking if I want to set Adobe as the default. I clicked yes. Since then my documents come up as a black screen. I think that I have go back to the original setting - (i.e. un default Adobe). I scanned several documents before checking the pop up with no problem.

    Adobe is a company, not a product. Therefore, "Adobe" what? Default what?

     

    Probably you just need to set your printer as the default printer.
