I have installed and tested the FMS using the 'localhost' and 'local IP address' in the FMS url, Now I need more infromation on how to assign my domain name e.g streaming.fio.com  in replacement of the 'localhost' or 'IP' like rtmp://streaming.fio.com/live/..

    Hey,

The right way is to give the fully qualified domain name for the server in place of localhost, so if your domain is streaming.fio.com, 'rtmp://server-name.streaming.fio.com/live/' is actually the correct url for this purpose.

Let me know if you are facing any problems connecting this way.

From the look of it, it appears that you may be having some issues in reverse DNS lookup configuration for the corresponding public IP address that your server is assigned.

To check if you have appropriate settings, you may refer to this link.

Also if you find any issues with this, please go through some articles about configuring your netwrok. You may find this useful.

There is another forum query related to the problem. Go through it and see if any of the above suggestions work for you.

    Regards,

    Apoorva.
