photoshop cs6 and illustrator cs6 constantly crash at random times, my cs5 worked perfectly

Hi guys

 

Is any one having trouble with there cs6 apps? My illustrator and photoshop crash constantly at random times. I will get on average 5 - 15 crashes an hour on illustrator cs6 (32bit and 64 bit) and a similair amount on photoshop (32bit and 64bit). CS5 works perfectly and I'm super tempted just to sac of cs6, cancel my cloud membership and go right back to cs5. As a full time freelance designer all these issues are playing havoc with my buisness. I've tryed re installing them multiple times to no avail. I will jot my tech specs below to see if you guys can see anything that would cause a problem.

 

windows 7 64bit service pack 1

core i7 2600k@4.4ghz

16gb ram

128gb crucial m4 ssd

500gb momentus xt scratch disk

1tb seagate drive for file storage

cintiq 24hd tablet

 

cs5 master colection trial ( works perfectly)

Cs6 Adobe cloud (crashes all the time)

 

any help you guys can give me to get this stuff working would be incredibly helpful.

    Hi Ryan,

     

    Sorry to hear about your difficulties. I haven't heard many similar reports.

     

    Might try installing the latest Cintiq drivers and maybe even test running with them uninstalled completely.

     

    What other troubleshooting have you tried other than reinstalling? Do you get any kind of error when it crashes? Have you tested in a new user or with limited startup items running at boot? Do you have anti-virus software running at the same time when the crashes occur? Do the crashes seem related to any specific process? How long do you typically test in the Master Collection CS5, was that installed after CS6?

     

    Have you tried working with a technical support for assistance with the issue?

     

    Your system looks more than ample to run the software.

    I'm experiencing the same problem (constant crashes when trying to open a file), but on a MacBook Pro max config with OSX 10.8.3.

    Tried to uninstall and reinstall Illustrator from Creative Cloud, but the problem persists. In addition, I can't zoom in with keyboard shotrcut (cmd+) after reinstalling. could anybody help me please?

    It crashes on my constantly. I can't imagine reupping my yearly subscription at this point. CS5 was much more stable.

     

    Mac 10.7.5

    2x2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon

    24 GB

    NVIDIA Quadro 4000
