All I want to do is fill out PDF forms. Which is the least expensive product that I should buy? All I have now is Adobe Reader 9 (which I think was a free download) and that doesn't allow me to edit PDFs.

Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction!

The least expensive Adobe product is Acrobat Standard. It will allow you to create, fill, and save PDF forms. Acrobt Pro has more editing features, but it's not clear to me if you'll need them.

Reader allows you to fill PDF forms if they have interactive form fields. Not all PDFs that look like forms do. It will save a filled-in form if it has been Reader-enabled. This allows Reader to do things it normally cannot. You can Reader-enable a form with Acrobat, either Pro or Standard.

Note that Acrobat Standard is ONLY available on the Windows platform, not on a Macintosh.

Adobe Reader X will allow commenting.

Adobe Reader for Macintosh - versions 8..1. 1 through 10.1.3
