re-authorize problem

Help! Was not able to download books from public library. Read forums and uninstalled Digital Editions. Went to Adobe.com and verified Adobe ID & password. Downloaded ADE again and hit CONTROL, SHIFT, D to de-authorize. This worked. However, now when trying to re-authorize ADE I get the following message and am not able to open ADE at all: E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 2012-07-30T20:51:22-07:00%20(1343706682000)%20is%20before%202012-07-3 0T21:21:24-07:00%20(1343708484195)

Any suggestions?

Your system clock is off. Check your system's time, date and time zone.
I'll bet you'll find that one of those is off, because the message you're
getting says that "7/30/2012 at 20:51:22-07 (these clocks are accurate to
the hundreths of a second) is before 7/30/2012 at 21:21:24-07", which is a
true statement.

The time zone and time is correct, checked that right away after reading comments?????
