embed button grayed out

CS4 macbook pro

 

I can't seem to be able to emebd a tiff file. Any suggestions?

    If the image issue highlighted in the Links Panel and Embed is gray then the image is embedded.

    Many thank (AGAIN!) Wade!!! I didn't think of that. I never would have thought of that! I'd been placing Tiff  files for years but they would jsut stay linked until I embeded them with the embed button. Somehow now my files seem a come in as embedded.

     

    thanks for the realy quick response. I'm on a deadline so close I can smeel it's breath. You've helped e at least avoid the teeth.
