Easy Backspace?

Making a keyboard kind of thing and wondering if there's an easy way to do a backspace. Basically I was hoping I could do like so:

 

someField.appendText(String.fromCharCode(8));

 

But, of course, that doesn't work.

 

Any ideas?

    Eh, nevermind. I can just use replaceText:

     

    someField.replaceText(someField.length - 1, someField.length, '');

     

    I guess that's easy.
