Changing a number of saved Headers in the very same way

Aug 2, 2012 1:33 AM

Hi,

I use Adope Acrobat 9.4 and I want to change 64 already saved Headers in the very same way before adding to a document (or even after if its possible). The Headers include a Title, a Reference and a Date. When I created the Headers, I used the date of 13.07.2012 to be displayed. Now I got to work on some updated documents with the same Title to be given, the same Reference, but with the date of 21.07.2012 to be shown in the Header.

Is there any way to find a file where all the Headers are saved and to go by 'find and replace' the old date with the new one?

I will need to change those Headers several times in the future..

I know that I could open each single Header, update it and save it again - but this would take ages in the longrun and I am looking for a smarter way to solve my problem

thanks for helping

Saved presets for the Header/Footer dialog are stored as XML files, so they're simple to change with a text editor program.

    Look in %appdata%\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Preferences\HeaderFooter
